Yesterday I worked from a friend’s house in Beavertron and we decided to grab a drink after work. We went to the Greek Village just off the 26. What a random place. Its dark, they have six pool tables, and they carry all the Off The Rails beers. They have TVs around the bar for sports watching but everyone there seemed to be ignoring them. For some reason, the bar seemed different then I was expecting it to be. In a good way, I think. Oh and they have air hockey which I think is awesome!
The happy hour specials leave a little to be desired in my book. They run until 7 PM which is a plus, but the only microbrew on special was a Heffeweisen. So, of course, I paid full price for an IPA. Domestics are $2 and there are discounts on wine and well drinks. There was a sign when we came in that said that they have $1 beer every day from 8-9 PM. I forgot to ask what the details were on that, so I’ll have to go back and check it out. I do love me some dollar beer.
Off to the East Coast this evening for the weekend. We are having dinner at a brewery on Saturday night out in Amish country so I figure that will be interesting. I’ll have to contrast it to breweries in Beervana.
